Chocolates Truffles and Valentine Roses

In December we made a lot of chocolate candies for Christmas presents. My favorite ones had peppermint fudge centers and were dipped in white chocolate. The tops were decorated with two fondant holly leaves and a red hot candy to look like a holly berry. I didn't take a picture of them because the holidays were a bit hectic.

For Valentine's Day, we made chocolate truffles rolled in chopped walnuts and dipped in chocolate. Larry made tiny fondant roses and leaves which I painted with Wilton's gold, red, green and burgundy icing colors, diluted on a palette like watercolors.

I made a few tiny white fondant flowers and painted the centers with yellow icing color.

Now we just have to figure out who to give them to.
